All AdaptABILITY Programs provide opportunities to learn new things, meet new people, and practice skills in a natural learning environment in our local community.

There are programs to fit every interest!

And, if you don’t find what you are hoping for - just ask!

 

AdaptABILITY strives to provide programming geared towards participant interest!

Day Program

Available Weekdays 

​

AM program: 9:15a to 1:15p

Day Program: 9:15a to 4:15p

PM Program: 12:15p to 4:15p

​

Supervised care available before and after

​

Registration Required

​

Programs are based on group interest, and can include: 

 

Healthy Living & Fitness, Recreation, Special Interests & Hobbies, Nutrition & Meal Making, ​Work Readiness & Job Skills, Public Transportation Practice, Field Trips, The ABILITY to Adapt & Social Skills

Available Wednesdays

3:00p to 7:00p

​Learn & Explore, Future Self Exploration, Social Group: Making & Keeping Friends, Recreation, Special Interests & Hobbies, Public Transportation Practice, Field Trips,

The ABILITY to Adapt & Social Skills

Individual Adult Program

Weekly, Bi-Weekly or Monthly​

Programs are individualized, and can include:

​

Future Self Exploration, Work Readiness & Job Skills, Personal Finance, Personal Items & Clothing Shopping , Grocery Shopping, Personal Identification, Public Transportation, Driver Training Support, Personal Fitness & Recreation, Post-secondary Application & Support, Job Training & Job Carving,

Individual Child/Youth Program

Weekly, Bi-Weekly, Monthy

Programs are individualized, and can include:

​

Social Skills, Making & Keeping Friends, Social & Community Outings, Self-Regulation & Behaviour Management, Parent Support

Respite Services

Available On Your Schedule; 

Occasionally, Weekly, or Monthly

Provides personalized, in-home care for individuals with intellectual disabilities and their caregivers.

 

Dressing, Bathing, Hygiene & Grooming, Feeding, Meal Preparation, Light Housekeeping , General Household Duties, Shopping, Medication Administration, Community Outings
