Provides personalized support for people of any age. 
Progress towards specific goals, have support while in the community, or start a person-centered plan. 
A program as individual as you are!

Provides in-home personal care, assisting with daily tasks, hygiene & grooming, general household duties, and community outings.

Provides support with implementing strategies to reduce elopement, increase accessibility, and encourage independence.

GROUP DAY PROGRAM

 

Focusing on learning and practicing new skills, socializing with peers, and gaining independence in a natural, supported environment.
 
Each day, the program begins in the office. We settle in, discuss the plan of the day, participate in our activity, then reflect on our day and discuss the skills we learned, and plan for the next day. Most days, we play a fun game near the end of the program! 

Activities will be based on group interest and availability.
If there's something you've always wanted to try, please suggest it! The program is always expanding and adapting! 

Each session runs for 6 weeks and will include a combination of:
Recreation & Fitness: attend fitness classes, explore the local community, play outside, team games, swimming, gym classes, personal training, 

Nutrition & Healthy Living: recipe reading, grocery shopping, meal-making, meal serving
Education: computer skills, math, reading, writing, co-operative games, 
Service & Volunteer: learn work-ready skills, help in the on-site office, communicate with supervisors, take direction, complete office tasks
Special Interests & Hobbies: mixed media art, field trips, artistic expression, sewing, 

In order to ensure every Client has access to the program they are interested in, there are enough materials, and planning can happen in advance, program registration is required

Designed to improve safety and accessibility, and support independence for individuals and families within their daily living space.

  • Create Snoezelen-type spaces or calming area

  • Design safeguards for elopement

  • Problem solve to improve independent skills

  • Individualized picture-based (PECS) task lists for daily living activities

  • Routine development for daily living activities

  • Family and individual calendar & schedule creation / management
